Silent Hike | Dave’s Creek Circuit via Suprise Rock (Binna Burra) | Lamington National Park
On the weekend I headed up to Binna Burra in The Gold Coast’s Lamington National Park for what will be the last trip up my favourite mountain for 2021. I was originally planning on walking the Coomera Falls Circuit but wasn’t sure if the creek crossings would be possible after all the heavy rain, so I decided to try the Dave’s Creek Circuit instead. Most of my videos have been in overcast/foggy/rainy weather, however, it was finally sunny for a change so it was great to see a bit of blue sky.
Dave’s Creek Circuit is part of the Binna Burra section of Lamington National Park and begins along the Board Track before turning left at the Ships Stern turn-off. I completed the circuit in an anti-clockwise direction so that Suprise Rock would be towards the end of the silent hiking video. The trail offers views of Springbrook, Mount Hobwee and Numinbah Valley, and many types of forest including wet sclerophyll forest, warm temperate rainforest, and cool subtropical rainforest.
